The Best Robot Vacuum For Carpet

If you have carpet that is high or low-pile, there's a robot vacuum for you. These machines are intelligent and can automatically navigate around your home, and can scoop up dirt and clean under furniture.

They are equipped with advanced features, such as mapping that helps them navigate through your home and remember where furniture is. They can also increase suction power to take on dirtier surfaces.

iRobot Roomba 694

The Roomba 694 by iRobot is an entry-level mop robot vacuum vacuum that is able to work on carpets with low pile and bare floors. It has a good suction however it has trouble with larger debris such as sand or grains of rice. It also does a good job of removing pet hair, but it's not impervious to tangling as top Roomba models, such as the I6 or j7.

The Roomba is easy to use. It has a trio of buttons on its cover: 'Clean' starts an entire cleaning cycle and 'Dock' places it back in its charging station and 'Spot Clean' initiates the targeted cleaning. It can be controlled via a smartphone app which lets you program or stop/start cycles as well as adjust settings. You can also pair the device to smart home devices such as Alexa or Google Assistant to control it via voice.

This vacuum cleaner is slower than some others, but can still get into the most crevices and corners. It has a large dustbin that is ideal for reducing the frequency which you need to empty it. It is compatible with digital maps and virtual barriers that let you set it to avoid specific areas or to stop completely cleaning when you want to stop it from getting stuck on something.

Although it's not the most efficient model in its price range, it's better than many other alternatives. The Roborock E4 has a better cleaning performance than the Roomba 694, and it is able to clean both low-pile and bare carpets. It also has a more durable battery and a better route. It is also more robust, has fewer components that require regular maintenance, and costs less over its lifetime, and charges faster than 694.

You should also consider other models in the iRobot range, such as the v7 or the 981. They're more expensive, however they offer significant improvements over the 694 in terms of cleaning efficiency on both low- and bare floors, use an efficient cleaning path and come with a larger dirt compartment, are more efficient to charge, can move more easily, and are more easy to connect with smart home devices.

Shark RV1001AE IQ

This self-emptying robot with a budget does an okay job on hard floors as well as low-pile carpet. Its combination brush gets into corners and edges, and it automatically increases suction when it spots carpet. It is also effective at cleaning dirt that is embedded in carpets that are mid-pile. The IQ's small dock footprint and self-emptying feature are great features. If you'd like to change the floor's levels or define areas that are not allowed to be used, you'll need to manually reset the map.

The IQ's app comes with advanced mapping and automation features however, it's not able to access no-go zones, which are available on iRobot models. The smart-pathing system of the app allows for greater maneuverability and the high-pile feature of its carpet cleaning mode is efficient however it can be caught on the tassels of the rug.

In our tests, we observed that the IQ was able to handle pet hair effectively. It was able to eliminate the majority of hair on floors that were unfinished and a decent amount of rug with a medium pile. It was less effective on shag carpets, as it was unable to reach dirt and dust buried within the fibers. It was able navigate the legs of a chair, tiny spaces, and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. We did notice that it was a bit slower on floors that were not paved, but it regained speed and performed better than the other robots we tried.

The IQ is a better choice than the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a larger dustbin and a longer battery lifespan and is more adept at navigating obstacles. It comes with mopping tools that can remove sticky messes. On the other hand the iRobot feels better-built and has fewer components that require maintenance or replacement and has lower recurring costs and can even create virtual no-go zones through its companion app. It can even restart a cleaning session from where it left off in case it has run out of battery before having completed the task. The iRobot is also controlled by voice commands, which is an enormous benefit for many users.

The RoboVac 11S from Eufy isn't the most feature-rich robot vacuum on the market however it offers excellent cleaning power at an affordable price. It's designed for those who don't need a complicated mapping system or an app to control the device. This robot can last for over an hour. It includes an remote control, a cleaning tool, and AC power adapter.

The 11S is slim and sleek, with a tempered glass upper deck that covers plastic and is made to look like brushed aluminum. It's a nice stylistic different from Roomba, Samsung, and Neato designs that are more practical and industrial.

The eufy11S did well in our tests at removing larger particles and fine dust from hard floors. It was unable to thoroughly clean high-pile and medium-pile carpets. The device has a tendency to bump into people and furniture in its course. However, it can detect obstacles using sensors. When it comes across them, it ceases to move and emits an alarm so that you can manually guide it around the obstacle and then get it back to work.

The BoostIQ mode is another great feature of the eufy11S. It lets you set up the Enhanced Robot Vacuums: Exceptional Performance in Low Light to automatically adjust the suction strength based on the floor type and the amount of dirt. The remote control makes it easy to direct the 11S to your desired area.

If you don't have many furniture in the space where you're looking to vacuum Single Room Mode is an excellent alternative. The eufy can spend 30 minutes cleaning the space it is assigned to.

You can also select Edge Cleaning which reduces the amount of time spent in each area to 20 minutes for optimal battery life. This option allows the eufy to move in a spiraling pattern cleaning edges and corners.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robot vacuum that is a top performer on carpet. Its performance on floors that are not bare is also exceptional. It can pick up small particles such as rice effortlessly and it doesn't suffer from suction power even when its dirt bin fills. Its air-sealed, allergy-friendly design capture allergens and keep your family healthy. It uses an onboard HEPA filter and a self-emptying bin, so you don't have to buy additional filters or a separate vacuum bag.

It's not as effective as more expensive models, but it's excellent for deep cleaning and tackling stains. It has two front cameras which provide a live feed to your smartphone. It also comes with one of the most advanced obstacle avoidance systems. It has a large bin, a long runtime and a quick, bump-free cleanup.

Contrary to other robots the Complete C1 can switch between the standard powerhead and the turbo head to suit different flooring types. The turbo head works best with high-pile or low-pile carpeting while the standard powerhead is suitable for floors with no flooring and light rug. It also has an automated height adjustment system, which allows it to easily adapt to various kinds of flooring, without manual adjustments.

This model comes with the SBD 285-3 Classic Combination Floorhead, which can be used on carpets with a hard surface and carpets with a medium pile. The motor can also be easily moved around and get into difficult areas. It has five levels of surface adjustments and a switch that lets you turn off the brushroll to avoid hairs getting caught in tangles.

Its noise level is a little higher than other models however its powerful 1,200-watt motor as well as robust construction make it worth the extra expense.

If you're willing to spend a little more, vacuum cleaner and mop the Miele Complete C3 canister robot vacuum is a fantastic all-purpose robot vacuum. It performs better on carpets than the Classic C1. It performs better on any type of flooring and is built more securely and comes with a HEPA filter.
